In preparation for filming our evaluation we made a plan for all the ideas, locations and technology we needed to film each question, they all needed to be different with each question being answered in a unique style.
In class today we learnt about audience in the general media and we came across the audience theory created by Jeremy Tunstall. His theory is the idea that all texts have preferred audiences as well as additional audiences which can be engaged. Here are some of the classes of audience: Primary audience Watching films in a cinema involves a primary mode of audience engagement as the spectator is immersed with the narrative. So for your primary, target audience they will have bought the song/downloaded it and will consume your text in this way. Secondary audience While watching a programme at home on television may involve eating a meal at the same time, texting, using social media or other additional activities. Today my group had a big problem involving our actress for the music video. Our main choice Mia just told us that she doesn't want to do the video anymore. Of course this was a big problem as it was very unexpected and so close to our filming date. We need to find a replacement actress on a very short notice or else we can't film at all.
On the fourth day of filming we went to my schools music department and shot in just one room in which had all the technical equipment that we wanted to use and play with. This was a new scene we wanted to film so wasn't in our original storyboards. We wanted to use this room for a scene where Niah's supposed boyfriend in the video is making her the song. Niah wasn't needed in the scene, we just used one member of our team to act. We mainly focus on his hands fiddling with the dashboard other devices around the room. The difficulty was mainly in some of the movement in the shots as the gimble wasn't available so we use a shoulder mount instead using the cameras handheld. So scenes such as the boyfriend walking into the music room was hard as we wanted to follow behind him whilst doing it.
