Whilst we are currently editing the music video I've been assigned to do the animatic. Before doing anything on final cut I had to compile all the drawings I made in the storyboard, cut each panel individually using Adobe bridge so that I can form a sequence of how the music video was supposed to go down in my storyboard. I had to apply the music in the background and shorten or lengthen each panel so that there is a general idea of how long each shot was supposed to last. I found that difficulty arose  when I tried to cut each page down to each panel as it was a long process and sometimes wasn't able to cut them down at all in which I would have to repeat the process.

On the fifth and final day of filming we decided to redo some of the things we did at kings cross and also film some new scenes as we now had to find a way to include some scene between Niah and her supposed boyfriend in this video. Annoyingly we couldn't do the fountain scene again as there was redevelopment there so decided to move nearly everything to the stairs and bridge. We did shot from her singing the song again to her Boyfriend handing her his headphones for her to hear the song as if he made it for her. Equipment wise we only used one the our cameras, the shoulder-mount and the handheld light, we had the DJI gimble but decided we didn't need it. One problem was timing as we had to do these shots in as little time possible since it was getting dark fairly soon. On the fourth day of filming we went to my schools music department and shot in just one room in  which had all the technical equipment that we wanted to use and play with. This was a new scene we wanted to film so wasn't in our original storyboards. We wanted to use this room for a scene where Niah's supposed boyfriend in the video is making her the song. Niah wasn't needed in the scene, we just used one member of our team to act. We mainly focus on his hands fiddling with the dashboard other devices around the room. The difficulty was mainly in some of the movement in the shots as the gimble wasn't available so we use a shoulder mount instead using the cameras handheld. So scenes such as the boyfriend walking into the music room was hard as we wanted to follow behind him whilst doing it. For the day we shoot in the phoenix we wanted to turn it into a club so we got a few extras to move around and dance. We did this by messaging everyone in year 12 & 13 via facebook to stay in school for around 45 minutes as any longer people would consider not to waste their time. This was around 80 people and although most of them either denied us or didn't reply we still had 12 people which if we manipulated the shots right could give the impression of a big club scene.

On the third day of shooting our music video we went back to my school to film at a place called the Phoenix theater in which as the name implies has a big stage with a few rows of seats facing it. Here's a picture of it below. We used this place as a club setting for our music video so we organised some people from our school to come as a crowd to dance and socialize as if they were in an actual club. The theatre is equipped with lots of spotlights that could move around, change colours and also change patterns. This was going to be operated by the caretaker of the theatre as he knew how to operate it better than us. We also were equipped with some dry ice that we eventually used as mist throughout filming in the theatre  When this was all set up the crowd started to come and fill up the stage, we were hoping that our actress could come as well so we can film both her and the crowd but sadly she was going to be running late so we had to just film the crowd using all th...

On our second day of filming we finally had the right equipment for filming in Kings Cross and got straight to it. We first had to set up so we came around half an hour before Niah did to place all the cameras by the fountains. The day was very cold and gave us a bit of difficulty to re-enact some of whats been put on the storyboard so some ideas such as her laying on the bench in front of the fountains was reduced to her sitting  the bench with her head down like she reminiscing. Other than that we also got some other shots that weren't in the storyboard like a shot of her on some of the steps that leads to the canal. and also shots of her walking under the bridge.  Also we wanted a shot of her riding the swing by the station which was very tough as it got quite dark by the time we got there. we had a portable light but it seems that it wasn't as effective as we wanted it to be but we were able to get something.
